February Time!

Hello...hello. Is anyone out there? I know I've been a bit MIA, and I completely apologize for that. I'm catching up on all my blocks, and doing something a bit extra when I can since I'm late. Please forgive me?!? I'm hoping and challenging myself to get caught up on all this week!!! I owe you all that much!

Okay... I'm so excited that this is my MONTH! Yep I am!!! I just got done sending out the fabric and I can't wait to see your handiwork!!! I did add, two specific blocks of fabric. So if you can only do one of the blocks and just want to pick and choose just send me the other block you don't do, so I can complete it to finish the quilt. I chose a simple block but wanted to add a house block to go in between so it's up to you if you want to tackle both or just the one. I just couldn't decide on one block. It's me just being creative I guess.

What size quilt block do you want your bee partners to make? (Give finished and unfinished measurements, just to be sure.)  Finished will be 9" x 9" and Unfinished will be 9.5" x 9.5"

Can your partners use any of her own stash fabric to use in your quilt block? If so, are there any limitations? Sure, as long as it matches the color scheme! Refer back to picture to see the fabrics I've sent out.

Is there a specific color of thread (white/off white) you want your partners to sew with? Nope, either is fine.

Does your partners have to use at least a little bit of every fabric you send or can your partners decide?  Please use the fabric I'm sending. Especially the 5" and 2.5" blocks. House blocks use fabric, but if you want to add some from your scraps you can as long as it goes within the scheme of things.

Do you have a general theme or is it up to your partners to decide? Are there any specific themes that you do NOT want in your quilt block? Likes/dislikes?  I have sent instructions of what I want. I'm basing the one block from Charming Lucy Quilt and then I want one house block to intermix to make the quilt larger.

Will you allow any embellishments on the quilt block (i.e. embroidery, raised items such as yo-yos or fabric origami)?  Please no embellishments, thanks, however, I've sent a one fabric with characters that I want fussy cut into the house block.

Can you link us to any flickr or Pinterest photos that you would like us to use as inspiration for your quilt block?  Please use the white as the background for the house blocks.
Love these House Blocks.
So cute on the fussy cuts!
See this block... that's the simple one, cute right???
If your partners are super motivated and are able to make two blocks out of the fabric you send, would you accept more than one block from your partners? I'm hoping that you are willing to make the charm block and one house block. But if you can't do both just send back the one block you aren't doing and I will complete it. Thanks!

Do you want your partners to return any leftover larger size scraps to you when they return the completed blocks or can they keep them for their own scrap stash? Nope you can keep the scraps or if you don't want them you can send them back. Up to you! :)

XOXO

Shari :)
